Teaching / Coaching Experience
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor: Peoria Athletic Club
I provided group classes and private lessons weekly for three years. This has given me a great deal of experience and has helped me to understand how to be an effective instructor and how to keep students interested.
Team Captain: McVicker's Martial Arts
Having a great deal of experience and demonstrated leadership, Jack often puts me in charge of the team at competitions. This entails coaching, motivation, and rallying the team to do their best. Also, I often teach our jiu-jitsu classes in Champaign when Jack is out of town.
Education Degree: University of Illinois
I dedicated my college career to learning the most effective methods to engage individuals in all levels of learning. I am able to apply these same methods to help students of all ages and abilities to learn and grow in martial arts and competition.
Operations Manager: Kaplan test Prep and Admissions
I work with college and high school students daily, and help them to achieve their educational goals. This has given me a variety of social and interpersonal skills necessary to be an excellent instructor/mentor.
